I was very torn on this one, it looks good, but I felt something was missing. The entire book basically plays out as a race war. Vampires versus humans and in the whole process, there is really no explanation as to how it all started.
There is a lot of mention about this ICE virus, but no history on it, no explanation on it, nothing. Then we have all these different species of Vampires, from different part of the world and they all look different and have different abilities and thirst. It also didn't make sense how in some part they say it's caused by the ICE virus, but then in other it's a mutation. Which is it? Virus or mutation?
But, I did love the conspiracy angle on it and with that I believe they can take this series way further; the potential is there, let's hope they use it.
