Kamen ("The Masked Man") mysteriously wakes up in a field, he is wearing a mask that advises him and protects him.
From there he is taken prisoner, his great power being revealed when he intervenes to save the lives of the innocent.
The general ruling the fortress where Kamen is taken to is a young and highly skilled general. Simba leads her men fearlessly and with much kindness that their loyalty is unwavering. She is the one that spares all the men in the fortress, when her uncle order's their execution.
The story is intriguing and engaging, it takes place in ancient Japan and the dialogue, characters and art are as you would expect in manga depicting war. I hated that it ended in a to be continued, but since I already had volume 2 ready to go I got over it quickly.
