Stay With Me by Jenny Anastan, Elena Mancini (Translation)

I don't really know how I feel about this story. I'm not even 100% if this is really a second chance romance or what.

Four years ago Zoe Evans had a relationship with Andrew Cooper, then he up and breaks up with her a cruel and callous way. Jump to the present and Andrew is engaged to the bitchy family friend, Ashley that is a couple years younger than Zoe.

When Andrew comes face to face with Zoe, they're both in shock; Andrew never thought he'd see Zoe again and Zoe has a little secret she never told Andrew about. From that point on Andrew runs hot and cold, he wants Zoe but he doesn't; add to that, he doesn't want her to move on.

The writing was good, but for me what really killed it was that Andrew was such an ass and Zoe never really stands up to him she spends her time going between this determination to break away from him and dropping to her knees at the mere sign of affection.

Personally I didn't feel that Andrew redeemed himself as male lead. Furthermore, I would have loved for Zoe to really stand up to Ashley; she is the one that orchestrates everything to try and hurt Zoe and her character just end with the allusion that she goes back to New York and has a mental breakdown.

The story was captivating and the writing style engaging, but the lead characters, I just could not like.
