Waking Amy (Amy #1) by Julieann Dove

This story really didn’t work for me. It says it’s the first issue in the Amy Series and I sure hope the main character Amy gets redeemed. 

The woman is so ridiculously blind and pathetic that I could for the life of me not stand her.

One of my biggest issues with this book is that there is absolutely no resolution between Amy and her douchebag of a husband, Wesley. I honestly would have been happy is Wesley never woke-up from that coma.

The only likable character in this entire book was Mark Reilly the doctor.

Godzilla in Hell by James Stokoe, Bob Eggleton, Ulises Farinas, Erick Freitas, Brandon Seifert, Dave Wachter

I’ve never been huge into Godzilla, but I am always willing to give books a try. This one I was not impressed by the silent storytelling. However, I will say that the art and coloring was amazing; and the monsters were pretty cool too.

This was an entertaining read. It discusses 50 historic battles that the author sees had a great impact on democracy.

The book reads like a high school history textbook in that it’s not overly tedious in information for every battle.

Overall it was a informative read that many might enjoy.

The Wicked + The Divine Volume 3 by Kieron Gillen

In this collection of issues #12 - 17 we again continue with impressive art and coloring; however, the story was in my opinion "yawn".

Although, I did love the backstory of The Morrigan; she is my favorite. I love the dress, the tattoos with the crows so that saved some of this book for me.

A Field Guide to the F Word by Ben Parker

You would think a book about the F Word would be entertaining, unfortunately this book was nowhere near what I expected.

The author gives us the history of the F Word but not once in his 100+ pages does he at least use the word. I mean seriously what the fuck, that word is so overused it basically has no meaning anymore.

I finished this book only because I'm a masochist and I kept telling myself "he has to say fuck at least once".  

If I look at this book as a historical piece I can say it had some merit and it justified me spending all that time reading it.
