This story was like 50/50 for me. I like Anna; she was outgoing, hard-working and overall seemed like a nice character; with one major flaw, liking Quinn.

Quinn came across as such a douche I just could not like him. Even when he starts to try and be a better guy he was just unlikable.

What I hated most about this story is the way that Anna has been hung up on him for forever and prevented herself from being happy with someone better.

Crazy Ex/BFF: Annalise Ellington

Olivia meets Max, they’re attracted to each other and as the story goes, things seem nice. The only problem is that Max promised his crazy ex and friend that he would pretend to be her fiancé because she got knocked up.

When I found out Max was engaged I was like “that jerk” but as you read, you are rooting for Olivia and Max. Both Olivia and Max are very sweet, but my definite MVP as far as characters go is Paige. Paige really brought these two together and made the story very enjoyable. It also didn’t hurt that Annalise’s crazy antics added to the drama.

Mistakenly kidnapped in a country where women are considered second class citizens, smart and in-charge Felicity Cartwright is surprised.

Zakir ibn Rashiq Al-Nazari can’t believe he kidnapped the wrong person. But, what started out as a case of mistaken identity turns out to be the unlikeliest of loves.

The story was entertaining, this whole American meets Middle East culture difference added this interesting chemistry between the characters.

This was a sweet short story that revolves around two book lovers finding love. There is a little bit of drama, but none that threatens the romance.

It’s a lighthearted read, perfect for a nice summer night.

Melting His Alaskan Heart by Rebecca Thomas

This was supposed to be a short, feel good novella, however, I just couldn’t really like the main guy.

After a tragic accident that killed his wife, Ethan Forrester basically lives in seclusion. Enter famous brother that convinces him to take his place at a masquerade ball and a reporter seeking an interview with said famous brother and we have a whole lot of drama.

Carly was an okay character, except it kept annoying me how she kept going after Ethan even after he made it clear he wanted nothing to do with her. She just continued to take his hot/cold that it got tedious.

The Bad Boy's Guilt (The Bad Boys of Regret Hollow, #2) by Sara Daniel

I like this book way more than book one; it expands on Zane and Julianne’s happily ever-after and we get some real reasons for the troubles between the main characters in in this story.

Wyatt (Julianne’s brother) wanted to hurt Zane and the best way he thought he could do that was to hurt Nicole (Zane’s sister).

In this story they get to reconnect and Wyatt gets to do a whole lot of groveling.

The Bad Boy's Gift (The Bad Boys of Regret Hollow, #1) by Sara Daniel

I liked the happy ending, but this story felt a little too blah.

Zane and Julianne were just way too overly dramatic. The whole time Zane carried a chip on his shoulder for being the son of the town drunk and Julianne was just so annoying.

The entire story starts off with a misunderstanding and neither one of them can just have an actual conversation.
